In a letter on 25 February 2019, Dr Gaudenz Silberschmidt, Director of Department of Partnerships and Non-State Actors of WHO, informed that the WHO Executive Board decided to maintain WFAS in official relations with WHO. Continuing support and collaboration of WFAS is expected towards WHO's mission to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable.

This is the 8^th term of collaboration between the two parties since WHO established official relations with WFAS in 1998.
