<p style="text-align: center;">SUN Mingsheng, MA Xingsha, LIU Xiaojia, CHEN Jiao, ZHENG Hui, ZHAO Ling, LIANG Fanrong</p><p style="text-align: center;">(College of Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Tuina, Chengdu university of TCM, Chengdu 610075, Sichuan Province, China)</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract:&nbsp;</strong> Primary dysmenorrhea is one of the most common clinical disease in gynecology, it&nbsp; affects the life and work&nbsp; of&nbsp; the&nbsp; patient&nbsp; in&nbsp; varying&nbsp; degrees.&nbsp; Modern&nbsp; medical&nbsp; treatment&nbsp; with&nbsp; non-steroidal&nbsp; antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and combined oral contraceptives (COC),&nbsp; it has a lower acceptance to treat this&nbsp; disease&nbsp; by&nbsp; the&nbsp; method.&nbsp; External&nbsp; therapy,&nbsp; as&nbsp; the&nbsp; safe&nbsp; and&nbsp; no&nbsp; side-effect&nbsp; therapy,&nbsp; more&nbsp; and&nbsp; more&nbsp; be recognized by patients with the development of the motherland medicine.&nbsp; In this paper,&nbsp; according to the therapy&nbsp; method&nbsp; of&nbsp; different&nbsp; treatment&nbsp; site,&nbsp; we&nbsp; will&nbsp; summarize&nbsp; the&nbsp; external&nbsp; therapy&nbsp; for&nbsp; the&nbsp; treatment&nbsp; of primary&nbsp; dysmenorrhea&nbsp; in&nbsp; recent&nbsp; years.&nbsp; In&nbsp; order&nbsp; to&nbsp; provide&nbsp; a&nbsp; reference&nbsp; for&nbsp; the&nbsp; treatment&nbsp; of&nbsp; primary dysmenorrhea by external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine in the clinical application.
