Observation of effect of Single Lift posture of Baduanjin qigong for the recovery of patients with balance dysfunction after Stroke

<p style="text-align: center;">DING Yi, LI Li, GUO Chenchen, WANG Ning</p><p style="text-align: center;">(Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jinan, Shandong)</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract:&nbsp; Objective:&nbsp; </strong>To observe the effect of Action iii&nbsp; of&nbsp; Baduanjin qigong&nbsp; for the recovery of patients with&nbsp; balance&nbsp; dysfunction&nbsp; after&nbsp; Stroke.&nbsp; Methods:&nbsp; 62&nbsp; patients&nbsp; with&nbsp; balance&nbsp; dysfunction&nbsp; after&nbsp; Stroke&nbsp; was equally&nbsp; divided&nbsp; into&nbsp; observation&nbsp; group&nbsp; and&nbsp; control&nbsp; group&nbsp; using&nbsp; table&nbsp; of&nbsp; random&nbsp; numbers.&nbsp; Both&nbsp; group received general conventional medical treatment, while control group conducted regular balance trainingand observation group conducted Action iii of Baduanjin qigong. After 8 weeks, score of FMA-L and BBS was used to determine the treatment effect.&nbsp; Results:&nbsp; FMA-L and BBS&nbsp; score was significant compared within group(P<0.05). But the result is also significant when compare the score of observation group and control group(P<0.05).&nbsp;<strong>Conclusion</strong>: Action iii of Baduanjin qigong&nbsp; could improve patients’ balance dysfunction after Stroke.</p><p><strong>Keyword:</strong> Acupuncture and moxibustion, Baduanjin qigong, Stroke, balance dysfunction&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p>
