Effect of acupuncture on expression of Fibronection and CollagenⅠin lung tissues of asthmatic rats

<p style="text-align: center;">ZHANG Yu-jia, LI Shuang,&nbsp; YU Yueyue, HAN Junping, ZHAO Ye,&nbsp; YANG Jinhua, CUI Jian-mei</p><p style="text-align: center;">(College of TCM, North China University of Science and Technology, Tangshan 063000)</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract:</strong><strong> Objective:</strong> To explore the effects of acupuncture on the expression of Fibronection and CollagenⅠ in lung tissues of asthmatic rats. Methods: Thirty SPF male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, asthmatic&nbsp; model&nbsp; group&nbsp; and&nbsp; the&nbsp; acupuncture&nbsp; treatment&nbsp; group,&nbsp; with&nbsp; 10&nbsp; rats&nbsp; in&nbsp; each&nbsp; group. Groups were given accordingly interventions, HE staining was applied to observe the morphologic changes of lung tissues; the immunohistochemical method was applied to test the protein expression of Fibronectionand CollagenⅠ in lung tissue. Results: Acupuncture can effectively improve pathological changes of lung tissues in asthmatic rats. The expression of Fibronection and CollagenⅠ in lung tissue&nbsp; of acupuncture group significantly&nbsp; lower&nbsp; than&nbsp; asthmatic&nbsp; group(F=32.408 ,P=0.000 ;F=15.861 ,P=0.000).&nbsp; <strong>Conclusion:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;Acupuncture could reduce the protein expression of Fibronection and CollagenⅠin lung tissues in asthmatic rats leading to airway remodeling.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Key words</strong>:&nbsp; Acupuncture, asthmatic, Fibronection, CollagenⅠ</p><p><br/></p>
