<p style="text-align: center;">Xiaowei Sun, Zhongren Sun,Beng Zhang, Yinghua Chen, Hong Jin¹,Mengtong Leng&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: center;">(1.The First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University Of Chinese Medicine, Harbin, 150040; 2.Heilongjiang University Of Chinese Medicine, Harbin, 150040&nbsp; ）</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract</strong>:&nbsp;<strong> Objective</strong>:&nbsp; By reviewing acupuncture promotion the repairment of nerve function defect after stroke, and acupuncture promotion the proliferation and differentiation of endogenous neural stem cells after stroke, to explore acupuncture promoting endogenous repair mechanism of nerve remodeling after stroke, it provides new ideas for the study of neural remodeling after stroke.&nbsp; Methods:&nbsp; By searching the keywords such as acupuncture, stroke( apoplexia),&nbsp; neural stem cells, neurologic impairment&nbsp; in Pubmed, OVID, EMBASE and other literature retrieval site, selected articles published in 2014, Janurary, 01 to 2017, October, 01, a total of 16 articles, and then summarize acupuncture on the recovery of nerve function after stroke and the role of endogenous NSCs proliferation and differentiation after stroke. <strong>Results</strong>:&nbsp; Acupuncture not&nbsp; only&nbsp; can&nbsp; improve&nbsp; the&nbsp; recovery&nbsp; of&nbsp; neurological&nbsp; function&nbsp; after&nbsp; stroke,&nbsp; including&nbsp; limb&nbsp; movement, swallowing,&nbsp; learning,&nbsp; memory&nbsp; and&nbsp; cognition,&nbsp; at&nbsp; the&nbsp; same&nbsp; time,&nbsp; it&nbsp; can&nbsp; promote&nbsp; the&nbsp; proliferation&nbsp; and differentiation&nbsp; of&nbsp; endogenous&nbsp; NSCs&nbsp; after&nbsp; stroke&nbsp; directly&nbsp; or&nbsp; indirectly,&nbsp; there&nbsp; is&nbsp; also&nbsp; a&nbsp; close&nbsp; relationship between&nbsp; the&nbsp; recovery&nbsp; of&nbsp; neural&nbsp; function&nbsp; and&nbsp; the&nbsp; promotion&nbsp; of&nbsp; NSCs&nbsp; proliferation&nbsp; and&nbsp; differentiation. <strong>Conclusion</strong>:&nbsp; Acupuncture maybe promote the proliferation and differentiation of endogenous NSCs after stroke, to improve the symptoms of neurologic impairment in varying degrees.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Keywords</strong>: acupuncture,stroke, neural stem cells, neurologic impairment</p><p><br/></p>
